DESCRIPTION:Trinity’s Crockpot Luncheon is one of the resident’s favorite things at Capital Towers.  It is a high energy\, fun packed day for those of us who are able to participate on Saturday\, December 6th.  And\, even if you are unable to attend on Saturday\, there are items needed on Thursday\, December 4th\, making the event possible. The residents love all the soups and especially the leftover soup they take back to their apartments.  And\, the desserts are enjoyed by all. SUMMARY:TBC Cares to Host Lunch for Oak City Cares
DESCRIPTION:Oak City Cares is a hub for connecting individuals and families\, who are at risk of\, or are experiencing homelessness\, to coordinated services that create a path to stable housing and renewed hope. \nEach weekend\, through the generosity of volunteers\, Oak City Cares provides breakfast and lunch to their guests. \nOn Sunday\, October 5th\, TBC Cares will provide lunch to 250+ guests. Johnny Glover and his team will prepare the meal at TBC for us. Volunteers are needed to serve the meal and to help distribute clothing items. \nIf you are not able to serve on site\, you can donate items for lunch. If you’re not a shopper\, financial donations are welcome. \nYour check needs to be payable to TBC with TBC Cares/Oak City Cares on the memo line. \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:This summer\, we’re heading to the heart of Appalachia to serve alongside two remarkable ministries in Kentucky. Whether you’re handy with a hammer or love to cook and connect\, there’s a place for you on this trip. \nBuilding Hope with Light Community \nOur Construction Team will roll up their sleeves with Only He Gets the Glory’s Light Community ministry. From framing and roofing to minor repairs\, volunteers of all experience levels are needed to help refurbish homes and community spaces. It’s a tangible way to reflect Christ’s love by providing safe\, decent housing for local families. \nTeam Lead: Mark Munday | 919-410-9426 \nFeeding Souls at Lord’s Café \nThe Ministry Team will partner with Crossroads Community Baptist Church to run the Lord’s Café “to-go.” We’ll prepare and distribute free meals\, then bring joy to a local nursing home with a spirited game of Bingo.
