Come be part of something that matters!
This August, we will return to McCreary County, Kentucky, one of the poorest counties in the United States, to serve alongside NC Baptist on Missions’ Appalachian Coalfields Ministries. This trip is an opportunity to meet real needs, build relationships, and share the love of Christ in a community facing deep hardship.
There are two ways to serve:
1) The Lord’s Café Team- Serve alongside Crossroads Community Baptist Church at The Lord’s Café, a free restaurant that helps care for people in a community facing serious food insecurity. This ministry is about more than a meal. It is about offering dignity, compassion, prayer, and the love of Christ.
2) Construction Team- Serve at The Light Community in Strunk, Kentucky, a transitional housing community helping people rebuild their lives with safety, purpose, and hope in Christ. The work being done there is helping create a place where lives can begin again. No construction skills are required, just a willing heart and a readiness to serve.
Cost: $100, plus travel meals and two restaurant meals while onsite | Scholarships are available
