10 Year Anniversary – Rev. Katie Blackmon

Church Family,

My heart is especially full as we celebrate ten years together. And how fitting that this moment falls on Children’s Day — a reminder of growth, faith, and the beautiful work God continues to do among us.

Walking Through Life Together

Over these years, you have walked beside me through so many sacred moments of life. You stood with me through a difficult health season that reminded me just how fragile and precious life is. You celebrated with me as our family grew with nieces and nephews, as Lee and I got married, and as we welcomed our son. Through every joy and every challenge, you have prayed, encouraged, and loved me and my family so faithfully.

You have given me room to grow, to learn, and to step into the person God has called me to be. You have been my biggest cheerleaders, and more than that — you have been the hands and feet of Jesus to me.

Carrying One Another’s Burdens

Galatians 6:2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” You have lived that out in my life, and I am forever grateful.

And as 1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us, “Encourage one another and build each other up,” and that is exactly what you have done for me these past ten years.

Looking Ahead in Faith

Thank you for loving me, for loving our children, and for allowing me the privilege of serving alongside you. You are not simply a congregation to me — you are my family.

My prayer is that we continue to grow together, pointing the next generation to Jesus and trusting that “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for ten beautiful years of ministry. Friendship, and grace-filled community. I love you all!
