Trinity has a team to Nairobi, Kenya, to begin a partnership with Orbit Village Project. For more than 30 years, Orbit has shared the love of Christ by providing education, meeting basic needs, and offering hope to children and families facing loss, abandonment, abuse, poverty, and addiction. This partnership offers meaningful ways for our church family to serve across generations, skills, giftedness and a sense of calling.

The first project will provide professional development for pre-K through grade 3 teachers. Based on faculty needs, the training will focus on ESL strategies and the effects of trauma on classroom learning, supported through mentor partnerships. A smaller team will also explore additional ways Trinity can support this ministry through resources, hands-on support for infrastructure needs, technology, and medical and dental outreach.

Please pray that hearts will be open to God’s leading, that details will come together, and that His purposes will be fulfilled through this partnership. Pray also for Orbit’s leaders, children, and families, and for our team to prepare with humility, willing hands, and deep love for those we will serve.
