Rebuild in Hendersonville

Trinity members recently went to serve in Hendersonville with members from Christ Covenant Church
The March Hendersonville rebuild trip included 3 members from Trinity and 5 members from Christ Covenant Church.
The team included one member, who was born the same year as my mother, so there is no excuse for saying that age prevents you from going on a trip!  He was an inspiration.
On our trip, we did demo on a house, removing damaged sheetrock, baseboards, cabinets and flooring to prepare it for rebuild.
We also tore out the bathroom, so it can be redone.
At the second house, we removed a damaged front porch and removed material from the basement that had been flooded from a slow plumbing leek, as well as the water that had come in from storms.
Over five and a half tons of material was removed between the porch, the contents of the basement and tree materials from the downed trees, that had hit the house.
Three members of the Christ Covenant Church team were also able to help a family start packing up their home to be ready to move out so it can be rebuilt.
They were able to show God’s love and witness to the husband of the family, while helping to pack.
The devotion time at night was very special.
One night was done by a team from Wisconsin and another night, was done by a team from Pennsylvania, which shared moving stories of the impact that they felt when they visited the Chimney Rock area,

Please be in prayer about joining us on our next trip.
The experience is so moving that is hard to put in the words.
