From the Pastor
This time of year, there is much being done by committees to prepare for a new year. You should have received a proposed budget from our Finance Committee. This process began in the summer through ministry budget proposals. The Finance Committee has done a great job in preparing a budget for the 2026 year that addresses our needs as a congregation while also supporting our mission as a church.
I am delighted to know that we will have 10% of our total budget going to missions. In this year’s budget, we are restoring the Raleigh Baptist Association gift to a full 1% as well as using all of our total budget in our calculation of giving to our cooperative mission organizations. We will also be proposing to use some of the former mortgage payment on future capital needs as we must be good stewards with the facilities which we have built.
The budget will be presented by our Finance Committee in regular Church Conference on October 19th at 7:00 p.m.You are encouraged to attend. If there are no amendments offered during this Church Conference, we will vote by ballot on Sunday morning October 26th during both worship services. If any amendments are offered, we will meet in a Special Church Conference on October 26th at 7:00 p.m. and then vote on the budget on November 2nd in both services.
In addition to the budget, we will also present our slate for Deacons, Trustees, and Pastor Advisory Council during the October Church Conference. The following week you will receive your ballots to participate in the election of these church leaders.
